I am proud

I am proud to be a Native of Colorado, and, of Arapahoe County. I am also a proud product of Arapahoe schools, attending Willow Creek Elementary School, Newton Middle School, and Arapahoe High School. I grew up in this community, and was shaped by a strong family, strong values, and a strong community of educators, coaches, and neighbors. I am a son, brother, and neighbor who has the desire to serve by giving back to the community that gave me so much. Raised in two small family-owned businesses, I began working from a young age, giving a perspective on the complex trials and tribulations small businesses battle to succeed.

I began participating in our political process shortly after High School, helping to fulfill my passion for public policy, getting involved, and leading in my community. After setting my personal and career goals to serve people, I attended the Metropolitan University of Denver, earning a B.S. in Political Science with a Public Affairs minor. When asked why I’ve chosen the path of politics, my explanation is simple: “It’s the greatest way to help people.” In short, that is the reason I am running to represent my hometown community.

After graduating from college, I entered the world of politics. I began my work in public policy through working on campaigns for many statewide and congressional candidates. I then moved over to the Colorado State Capitol as an aide for several Representatives and Senators. Over those next three years, I worked on policies that addressed education, business, workforce, fire mitigation, agriculture and many others while also helping to fight against legislation that hurt Coloradans. I built relationships with members of both sides of the aisle that will allow me to be effective from day one as your elected official. Working under the “Golden Dome” has allowed me to better understand our democratic process and the strategies needed to write quality, logical, legislation that will pass.

Colorado has always taken the lead to ensure our communities cultivate opportunity and prosperity for families throughout our state. However, our communities are now feeling left behind by our current elected leaders. House District 38 deserves, better leadership. They deserve to feel safe in their homes, to have an education system that works for their children, and to live in a community that promotes and helps their family thrive, not just survive. They deserve someone from their community who wants to take the time to fight for their community. I am running for House District 38 to be a leader that gets Colorado back on track. As your State Representative, I will fight to empower our parents and students, repair our broken economy and protect our neighborhoods.

We deserve

to thrive in one of the best places in Colorado. I believe those messages resonate across party lines, and I hope to receive support from District residents regardless of party affiliation.
